Neem oil — the honest truth
Neem is talked about as a miracle. It is not. Neem contains azadirachtin, which disrupts insect moulting. It works — slowly — on soft-bodied pests. But it has three serious limitations most articles ignore: it must be sprayed on the underside of leaves (where pests are) to work; it is destroyed by UV within 24 hours, so timing matters; and it leaves an oily film that catches dust and dulls buds. Never spray neem in flower. Never spray under high-intensity light. And accept that neem alone will not clear a spider mite infestation — you need predators for that.
